Upgraded LaminarPace system: The same exceptional quality, even easier to use

Our spray drying micronization system, LaminarPace, has long been valued for the exceptionally fine dry powders it produces. In our recent upgrade new heat mantles automatically monitor and regenerate the system’s carbon and silica gel. For high-volume labs spray drying repeated batches this is a valuable advantage.

With LaminarPace labs can formulate up to 1g of a compound per day at a typical speed of 20–100mg dry substance per hour. It is tailored to handle small particles down to 1-5µm (microns) and the highly efficient vapor-permeable membrane design means LaminarPace removes >98% of solvent vapors before collecting product particles.

But small changes can make a big difference: Our recent upgrade includes heat mantles that automatically regenerate the system’s carbon and silica gel. High-volume labs spray drying repeated batches no longer have to stop to replace the carbon and silica gel, but can keep running the same quality performance time after time.

lp diagramHow does it work?

In the updated version we’ve installed heat mantles that automatically regenerate the activated carbon and silica gel in the left hand regeneration column when it becomes saturated, returning it to its full capacity. The right hand drying column generates dry powders. If – as many labs do – you’re using the system repeatedly, and spray drying a lot of batches, the new feature means that you can do so without having to stop to monitor or replace the carbon and silica gel. The result? Less downtime, and even easier to use. We’ve also improved the fan house, software and moisture detectors in the system. And, as you’ll see from the photo below, we’ve upgraded the cladding and screen wrap guarding it.
